With West African food now one of the top food trends in the UK and the US, the world is finally waking up to West African food and with our unique dining experience, we're ready to welcome them. Proudly Nigerian, we’ve spent the last decade at the forefront of West African cuisine in London. After successfully building our 40,000+ brand community and winning critical acclaim with our small 35-seater restaurant in North London, Tottenham it’s time for us to grow. Now, we’re opening a second, larger site in a central London location, give even more Londoners the opportunity to discover Nigerian cuisine for themselves.
But who are we?
That’s me, Ifeyinwa, on the left, and my big brother, Emeka on the right. We’re siblings, best friends and business partners. Together we run Chuku’s - the world’s first Nigerian tapas restaurant, giving diners the opportunity to experience Nigeria's diverse cuisines and cultures without needing a passport.
We started life as a pop-up back in 2016. After 4.5 years, we opened our proof-of-concept site in 2020, just 4.5 weeks before the first lockdown. Great timing! But we’ve survived and now we’re thriving.
To date, we've….
1) welcomed over 50,000 diners from across the globe
2) been featured in the likes of Vogue, Forbes and the Financial Times
3) been named one of the top 50 restaurants in London two years in a row
4) catered for Burna Boy and Ayra Starr
And we’ve even been endorsed by Beyoncé.
